In Dark Mystery, we encounter all the creatures that consist the very belly of darkness. Nightmares become reality, distorted beings of light are wandering in the shadows. Dawn breaks, yet the gloom only deepens... the iris clouds over, the pupil constricts, and we find ourselves in dungeons, beneath arcades, chasing bright bulbs through the city, or sliding in the snow without a compass in pitch darkness atop the mountains. Walled into concrete within dystopian landscapes, floating above abandoned parking lots, or lying mummified in coffins, we await eternity-with love, frenzy anticipation. A faint glow reveals the contours of beings, just enough for us to sense that this world is utterly different from the image we're accustomed to by daylight. I created these images using special experimental techniques, primarily with hand-held lighting. Night photography is a unique adventure that leaves profound impressions on me.
